💡 How to form it
Take the 3rd person plural of the pretérito indefinido, remove -ron, and add these endings. This means irregular indefinidos (fueron, tuvieron, dijeron…) give irregular subjuntivo forms too: fuera, tuviera, dijera. Both -ra and -se forms are interchangeable in most contexts.
